What is sports physiotherapy?
Our Cherrybrook physiotherapist will first complete a thorough assessment of the patient’s injuries to establish an accurate diagnosis.
Thereafter the appropriate treatment plan has been discussed as we will have a better indication of what the most effective treatment techniques will be for each individual athlete.
We will most likely use a combination of treatment techniques which may include, manual therapy, myofascial release, soft tissue mobilisation, trigger point therapy, hot and cold therapy, Kinesio tapping and specialised equipment to treat the areas of injury.
Exercises will be given to rehabilitate the injured area, as well as a maintenance plan to prevent further injuries.
We will also advise when the patient can safely return to their sporting activities.
